(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Iraqi vice-president reported that the Ba’athist remnants, in collaboration with the intelligence apparatus of the former Libyan dictator, Muammar Gaddafi, six months ago, had plotted the assassination of the Iraqi premier, which was discovered and foiled.
The Iraqi vice-president added that the Iraqi government, through an open trial of perpetrators, will uncover all the details of this assassination plot for the people of Iraq.
The Iraqi vice-president, in an address to a press conference, said the coup that was supposed to be staged by Ba’athists and a number of former Iraqi army officers included explosions in Baghdad, and several terrorist operations and car bombings in a number of Baghdad’s districts, and announcement of assassination of the Iraqi premier with the intention of stirring chaos in Iraq.
